Hi.

disco balls, hi hats, drum claps, wearing black. these are a few of our favorite things.

4/13-4/17

4/13-4/17

April showers are here, and that means it's a great time to embrace your indoor ways and get cozy at some of our favorite venues through the weekend. Here's a few not-to-be missed parties we recommend.

4/13 - Dark Entries Hates Techno - RS94109

RS94109, Dark Entries, and (the ironically-named) Gays Hate Techno have joined forces for a pre-party before the Gays Hate Techno Spring Gathering. GHT has a well-regarded podcast that has hosted everyone from Jason Kendig to Aaron Clark to DJ Shiva and they’re in their third year of their campout event. The in store features Bill Converse (on three turntables no less) before he heads to the campout, along with Looky Looky and RedRedRed.

4/14 - Sasha (featuring Rooz & Bo) - The Great Northern

Label owner. Producer. DJ. Remixer. Sasha needs little introduction. In his usual globe-trotting fashion, he’ll be making a stop at one of our favorite venues, the Great Northern. Sasha is known for his journey-like sets that can elegantly transcend progressive house, techno, and even trance. His Last Night on Earth imprint is well worth checking out, having featured diverse artists such as Vonda7, Fur Coat, Joel Mull, Nicole Moudaber, Rufus Du Sol, La Fleur, Ejeca, Kate Simko, and Theo Kottis. The show will be opened up by the always good Deep Blue crew, Rooz & Bo.

4/15 - R5 featuring Seanco & Teh Raptor - Public Works

Founded from an enigmatic Facebook group, Concert Raptor is no stranger to throwing a party. This time, however, it lands in a more official capacity at the Public Works Loft. The get-together is welcoming for any music lover, but requires a pin for entry, which you can order here . The event features the Raptor himself along with Seanco (who did Technoclam’s debut mix). It promises to surround you with friendly vibes, a broad selection of deep house, tech house, funk, and of course, everyone's favorite clubbing beverage Club Mate.

4/15 - Unabridged: Tale of Us & Floorplan (ft Mossmoss, Jimmy B.,Woo, and Zoz) - the Great Northern

This hotly-anticipated show begins As You Like It’s week-long Unabridged series of events, and it’s doozy of a double-headliner. Both are infrequent guests of the west coast, making this a not-to-be-missed event. Berlin-via-Milan duo Tale of Us have international appeal, making emotive techno with their label Afterlife (to which Vaal, Recondite, Mind Against, SHDW, and many more have been signed). If this weren’t enough, Detroit minimal techno legend Robert Hood (and daughter Lyric) rounds out the evening with his straight house alias Floorplan. If you ever needed a show that defined “stacked lineup,” this is the one. The Great Northern’s cozy loft space will be open for this event, hosted by WERD.’s Jimmy B, Woo, & Zoz.

4/17 - Run the Length of Your Wildness - Qzen & Odi Me - Underground SF

Run The Length of Your Wildness is, as usual, starting your week off right at Underground SF. This week they welcome local favorite Qzen before she heads off to a long series of gigs in Europe. Also on the lineup is Oakland’s Odi Me (Jacktone Records.)

For a more comprehensive guide to upcoming dance music events, we recommend this calendar. Have we missed an event? Have something coming up we should know about? Corrections? Email us for consideration at info@technoclam.com.
